We couldn’t wait to celebrate National Waffle Day. The SOLO Labs team celebrated with a “Let Go My EGGO Party” which included a delightful spread of waffles, toppings, and sauces.
SOLO provided the Eggo waffles and SOLOs Activity Committee brought fresh fruit, peanut butter, cream cheese, whipped cream, and Nutella. What’s better than a toasted waffle with tasty toppings? It’s the time spent getting to know your coworkers a bit better. “I really enjoyed Waffle Day! I got to make fun waffle creations with my coworkers. All the toppings were delicious, and the effort everyone put into it was undeniable and greatly appreciated!” Kate Vega, customer service rep.
National Waffle Day is celebrated on August 24 because it’s the day Cornelius Swarthout of Troy, New York, received a patent for his stove-top waffle iron. While waffles existed before that time, the invention made waffles more readily available.
Some waffle aficionados also celebrate Waffle Day on March 25. Swedish people started this day as a way to welcome spring.
SOLOs Activity Committee is always finding reasons to celebrate. This team of employees organizes celebrations to make work fun and enjoyable. It’s another way we put the SOLO mission into action. SOLO stands for Serve Others, Love Others. By providing a fun respite from the day-to-day routine, we learn more about each other and create a strong foundation for teamwork.
