Do You Know the SOLO Story?
Like most businesses, we rarely take time to look back at where we started and what we accomplished. Founded in 1983 by Barry Sokol, Bruce Gernert and Randy Schlenker, SOLO had humble beginnings. Yet, they were determined to manufacture high quality, custom orthotics. Today, we’re proud to have produced over 2 million custom orthotics.
From humble beginnings at a local farm to today’s 3D printed orthotics, our focus remains on serving our customers. For over 35 years, podiatrists, physical therapists, orthotists, and other healthcare professionals have trusted SOLO to produce high quality, custom orthotics for their most challenging cases.
While manufacturing has changed, SOLO’s fundamental principle of Serve Others, Love Others is timeless. You will still find Bruce in our receiving department and Barry can be seen meandering around the SOLO offices. Now, the second-generation ownership team including Lindsay Sokol Szejko, CEO, and Jaimyn Sokol Westenhoefer, president, continue to uphold the founding principles of SOLO.
